Skoda Karoq Diesel Engine Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Karoq diesel with 92,281 km is experiencing reduced engine power, a check engine light, rough running, and occasional stalling at idle. Initial diagnostics suggest a mixture preparation error, possibly due to a defective injection valve or injector. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a faulty injector, which restored smooth engine operation.

Thank you for your reply. Did your Karoq exhibit the stalling issue at idle as well? Additionally, were there any error codes related to the mixture preparation or fuel injection system?

Yes, the stalling at idle was present in my case too, and the error codes pointed towards fuel mixture problems. I attempted to clean the throttle body and checked for any leaks around the intake manifold, but the problem persisted. In the end, I brought the car to a workshop.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. The issue did indeed stem from a defective injector. The garage confirmed this, and after replacing the faulty injector, the Skoda is running smoothly again. The total cost amounted to 515€.

I own a Karoq as well. I experienced very similar symptoms not too long ago. The check engine light illuminated, and the engine ran quite rough, especially at lower speeds. Did you check the mass airflow sensor or the throttle body? Sometimes, a build-up of deposits on the throttle body can cause issues with the air-fuel ratio.
