Skoda Karoq Diesel Terminal 15 Ignition Problem

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2020 Skoda Karoq diesel. The error memory shows 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted,' and the engine will not start. The diagnostic points to a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, perhaps related to the fuse box?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Skoda Karoq diesel faced a 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted' error, preventing the engine from starting. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection, possibly related to the fuse box. A similar problem was noted by another owner, suggesting checking battery terminal connections. Ultimately, a workshop identified and repaired a defective cable connection, resolving the issue.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen in my Karoq, though it wasn't exactly the same. The power supply went bonkers. Have you checked the battery terminal connections? A loose connection there can cause all sorts of weirdness. It's like when you have a loose light bulb – it flickers and maybe doesn't work at all!

Interesting. When you say 'power supply went bonkers,' was the error memory also indicating a Terminal 15 interruption? And did you experience a voltage drop before the engine failed to start?

Okay, the error code wasn't precisely the same, but the symptoms were comparable: engine wouldn't start. I didn't measure the voltage drop myself, I'm not that skilled, but the workshop confirmed it was related to the voltage. They found the defective connection and said it could have been a short circuit waiting to happen. Honestly, I'd recommend getting it checked by someone who knows their stuff. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to electrical issues.

Appreciate the insight. I took it to a shop. Turns out it was indeed a defective cable connection. They located the circuit break, repaired the connection, and the error is gone. Total cost was 95€. Thanks again.
