Summary of the thread
A 2021 Skoda Karoq with 162,744 km has a door lock issue suspected to be caused by a faulty door contact signal. The problem might stem from a defective cable or plug connection in the door latch. Thanks for the quick reply. No error messages are appearing on the infotainment system. Where exactly should I be looking on the wiring harness? Is it easily accessible, or do I need to remove any panels?

Okay, no error messages makes it a bit trickier. On the Megane, the wiring harness issue was inside the rubber boot where the wires pass from the car body into the door. You'll probably need to carefully peel back that boot to inspect the wires. However, I'm not a mechanic, and messing with wiring can cause more problems. If you're not comfortable doing that, taking it to a workshop might be the best bet to prevent further damage.

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar problem with my Renault Megane a few years back. The automatic locks went haywire because of a bad door sensor. Does the Skoda's infotainment system show any error messages related to the doors? Have you checked the wiring harness where it enters the door? Sometimes those wires can get damaged from repeated opening and closing.
