Skoda Karoq engine issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, reduced engine power, and smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning crankcase ventilation valve, specifically the PCV valve. Confirmation of the PCV valve issue was provided, and replacement resolved the problem.

Oily smell, yes, a bit! Where exactly was the leak on your PCV? Was it obvious? Trying to see if I can spot anything before taking it in.

The leak wasn't super obvious without taking things apart a bit. It's worth a look, but honestly, with those symptoms, it's most likely a PCV valve malfunction. It's a common issue, and if it's leaking it can cause all sorts of problems with the engine. Just take it to the workshop.

It was the PCV valve. The replacement cost 360€. Thanks for the advice.

Sounds like the PCV valve is gone. I had a similar issue with my Karoq. Check engine light, loss of power, and a bit of smoke on acceleration. Does it smell a bit oily too?
