Thanks for your quick reply. I haven't checked the oxygen sensor yet, but I replaced the air filter recently. Could it still be the oxygen sensor even if the air filter is new?

Yes, it's still possible for the oxygen sensor to be faulty even with a new air filter. The sensor provides feedback to the engine control unit about the oxygen levels in the exhaust. If it's sending incorrect data, it can cause the engine to run rich. I would suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic. It could also be something else affecting the catalytic converter.

Thanks for the input. I took it to the shop, and you were right; it was a defective injector. They replaced it, and the engine is running smoothly again. Total cost was 515€, including labor.

Sounds like a rich mixture problem. I had a similar issue with my Karoq a while back. Have you checked the air filter and the oxygen sensor? They can cause these symptoms.
