Skoda Karoq Engine Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Skoda Karoq is experiencing engine stalling at idle, with the check engine light on and reduced performance. The suspected cause is a defective fuel volume regulator, potentially linked to a high-pressure pump issue. A similar case confirmed that the fuel regulator was the problem, leading to rough idling and stalling. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic to address the fuel system issues promptly.

Indeed. Fuel efficiency has taken a hit. Engine misfire is happening. How did you resolve your similar situation? Was it also related to car sensors?

Yep, sounds very familiar. For me, it turned out to be exactly what you're suspecting: fuel regulator. The car sensors were throwing all sorts of codes, leading to rough idling and stalling. I'd strongly suggest getting it checked at a workshop. It's probably best not to drive it much further in that condition.

Many thanks for the swift response and confirmation. I took it to a trusted mechanic. As suspected, the fuel volume regulator was indeed defective, leading to the high-pressure pump malfunctioning. Repair set me back 1510€. Appreciate your help.

Whoa, that sounds rough. I had something similar happen with my Karoq. Check engine light was on, and the engine would just die at stoplights. Really annoying. Did you notice any changes in your fuel efficiency, or perhaps some engine misfire codes when you scanned it?
