Skoda Karoq Fog Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Karoq owner reported issues with the fog sensor, affecting the air conditioning, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The likely cause was identified as a defective cable or plug connection. A similar experience suggested checking the wiring for loose or corroded connections. The problem was resolved by replacing the defective plug connection, restoring full functionality.

When you say wiring to the sensor, do you mean where it plugs into the sensor itself? Was it obvious when you looked, or did you need to use a multimeter or something?

Yes, I meant the connection directly at the sensor. In my case, it wasn't immediately obvious, but there was some corrosion on the connector pins. If you're not comfortable checking it yourself with a multimeter, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. These automotive sensors can be tricky, and you don't want to cause any further damage.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective plug connection on the fog sensor. They replaced the connector, and now everything is working as it should. The total cost was 95€. Appreciate your help!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Karoq. The climate control refusing to kick in was a nightmare. Have you checked the wiring to the sensor itself? Sometimes, the connections can become loose or corroded, especially with car sensors exposed to the elements.
