Skoda Karoq Keyless Entry Problem

Alright, so I'm having a bit of a head-scratcher with my 2018 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine. Recently, I've been getting a 'key battery low' warning. Now, the keyless access is completely dead, and I even saw an error stored in the error memory when I scanned it. Unlocking and locking are also acting up. I'm guessing it's just a dead key situation because of a low battery in the car key, but wanted to check if anyone else has run into this.

I had a similar issue with my Karoq. The keyless entry stopped working, and I got a 'low battery' warning on the dash. Have you tried replacing the battery in the car key, the fob battery? It’s a pretty common issue.

So, if I understand correctly, you experienced the same symptoms keyless not working and the error message? And replacing the car key battery, or fob battery, fixed it completely?

Yep, exactly the same. Replacing the fob battery sorted it right out. It's worth trying that first before you start looking at more complicated things. Though, if you are not confident, you should go to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I got the fob battery replaced, and that fixed everything. Cost me 37€ at the local shop, but worth it to have my keyless entry back. Appreciate the help!
