When you say faulty connection, what exactly do you mean? Where should I be looking?

I'm no expert, but it was the cable or plug connection in my case. If you are not experienced, you should go to the workshop. They will know what to do.

Thanks for the advice. It turned out to be a defective cable/plug connection to the electric fan, as you suspected. 95€ later, and the cooling system is working properly again. I appreciate the help.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Karoq. The electric fan wasn't kicking in properly, leading to vehicle overheating. Have you checked the fan itself? It could be a faulty connection there, too.
