Skoda Karoq parking aid malfunction

I am experiencing a problem with the parking aid system on my Skoda Karoq, build year 2023, with a diesel engine and approximately 156495 km. The parking assistant is completely non-functional, and the error memory contains a corresponding fault entry. Based on some research, a defective cable or plug connection on one of the components seems to be the likely cause. The estimated repair cost is around 95€. Has anyone experienced something similar with the parking sensors, proximity sensors, parking assist, or the control module of the ultrasonic sensors?

That sounds like a frustrating issue. Have you noticed if the problem occurs consistently, or is it intermittent? Also, are all of your parking sensors affected, or just some of them? Do you maybe have access to a diagnostic tool to read out the exact error code? This might provide further clues as to which sensor or area of the system is causing the fault.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is constant. I checked, and none of the parking sensors are working. I do not have a diagnostic tool myself. Do you think it is still worth checking the individual sensors, or should I visit a workshop directly?

Given that none of the parking sensors are working and you lack a diagnostic tool, it does sound like the most practical solution is to bring the vehicle to a workshop. The fact that there is an error stored makes it more likely to be a cable issue or a faulty control module. The estimated cost of 95€ seems reasonable for checking the connections and replacing a plug.

Great news, the problem is resolved. I visited the workshop, and as suspected, it was a defective plug connection on one of the parking sensors. The repair cost exactly 95€. Thank you for your assistance.
