Skoda Karoq rough starting and fuel consumption issues

My 2022 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. It's been a nightmare to start. Fuel consumption's gone through the roof, and the engine performance is just awful. It idles like a tractor and sometimes even stalls! Could it be the injection nozzle? I'm getting worried about this diesel-like clogging issue.

Sounds like a clogged injector. I had similar issues with my old Renault Megane – rough idling, poor performance, the whole shebang. Is it worse when the engine is cold?

Yeah, it's definitely worse when it's cold! Takes forever to start, and the engine sounds like it's about to die. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to take it to a workshop?

Nah, I didn't risk messing with the fuel injection system myself. Best left to the pros, especially with the high pressures involved. A new injector should sort you out, but a good clean might do the trick if it's just dirty. Get it checked ASAP before it causes more damage!

Just got my Karoq back from the garage. You were spot on, the injection nozzle was causing all the trouble. Cost me 515€, but at least it's running smoothly now. Thanks again!
