Skoda Karoq Transmission Issue

I've got a 2017 Skoda Karoq with a gasoline engine and 165240 km on the clock. The transmission indicator light and check engine light are both on. It's stuck in emergency mode and the automatic transmission isn't shifting correctly, feels like it's slipping and making grinding noises. I pulled the error codes and it points to a defective radiator oil pressure. I'm thinking it's a bad cable or plug connection. Sound about right?

Whoa, that sounds rough! Check engine light plus emergency mode? Yikes! Does the coolant level drop too? Maybe it's a coolant leak messing with the oil cooler somehow? Have you checked the cooling fan is running as it should? Is it maybe some sensor playing up?

Coolant leak affecting the oil cooler? Interesting thought. How would a coolant issue trigger a transmission fault?

A coolant leak causing a transmission fault? I dunno exactly HOW, but stranger things have happened! But you mentioning a defective radiator oil pressure... hmm, yeah, a faulty sensor or wiring seems more plausible. Honestly, with all those symptoms, I'd get it to a workshop pronto. Could be something simple, could be something nasty. Better safe than sorry with automatics!

Confirmed, it was the cable. I changed the oil cooler pressure sensor cable. Cost me 95€ for the part and a bit of my time. Everything is back to normal now. Thanks for the input!
