Skoda Karoq Transmission Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Skoda Karoq experienced transmission issues, indicated by warning lights and emergency mode activation, with symptoms of slipping and grinding noises. Error codes suggested a defective radiator oil pressure, leading to speculation about a bad cable or plug connection. The problem was resolved by replacing the oil cooler pressure sensor cable, restoring normal function.

Coolant leak affecting the oil cooler? Interesting thought. How would a coolant issue trigger a transmission fault?

A coolant leak causing a transmission fault? I dunno exactly HOW, but stranger things have happened! But you mentioning a defective radiator oil pressure... hmm, yeah, a faulty sensor or wiring seems more plausible. Honestly, with all those symptoms, I'd get it to a workshop pronto. Could be something simple, could be something nasty. Better safe than sorry with automatics!

Confirmed, it was the cable. I changed the oil cooler pressure sensor cable. Cost me 95€ for the part and a bit of my time. Everything is back to normal now. Thanks for the input!

Whoa, that sounds rough! Check engine light plus emergency mode? Yikes! Does the coolant level drop too? Maybe it's a coolant leak messing with the oil cooler somehow? Have you checked the cooling fan is running as it should? Is it maybe some sensor playing up?
