Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI Problems with the navigation system screen
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
The navigation system screen on a 2018 Skoda Kodiaq is malfunctioning, frequently going blank. A similar issue was resolved in a Skoda Superb by addressing a faulty cable connection between the control unit and the display, which is common in older vehicles with high mileage. The suggested solution is to have a mechanic check and reconnect the cables, potentially resolving the issue. Seeking a garage familiar with Skoda vehicles is recommended for effective repair.

Hey Marco, thanks for your reply! That sounds pretty similar to my problem. Do you remember how much you had to pay for the repair? And has anything else come up since then? Best regards

Hey, sure, I can tell you! The repair cost me a total of €165. It turned out that the cable connection between the control unit and the display was defective - there was probably a bad connection. Since I've been to the mechanic, the navigation unit has been working again without any problems. Apart from that, I haven't had any other problems. I hope it works just as smoothly for you! Best regards Marco

Hey Marco, thanks for the info! 165 actually sounds fair if the problem is fixed afterwards. I'll probably make an appointment with a garage and hope that they can fix it as well as you did. But before that, I'll do a bit of research to find a good garage. Maybe I'll go to one that specializes in Skodas first. Thanks again and best regards

Hey, I had the same problem with my 2016 Skoda Superb. The screen kept failing and it turned out that the cable connection between the control unit and the display had a bad connection. This was a serious problem because it affected the whole navigation and infotainment. At the workshop, they checked the affected cables and reconnected them. It took a while, but afterwards everything worked perfectly again. Such problems can occur with older cable connections, especially if the car has a lot of miles on it. Hope this helps you! Greetings Marco
