Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't spotted any obvious coolant leaks, but I will give it a closer look tomorrow. The temperature gauge seems to be reading normally, but I'm not sure if I trust it anymore. When you had this issue, did the temperature gauge seem accurate, or was it also giving false readings? Also, did you end up replacing the heat exchanger itself, or just the sensor?

The temperature gauge appeared normal initially on mine, but the diagnostic scan revealed discrepancies between the sensor readings and actual temperatures. It turned out to be just the sensor itself that was faulty, not the entire heat exchanger. Given your symptoms and the error codes, I'd strongly advise against attempting a DIY fix, especially with potential AC control unit involvement. A proper diagnostic by a qualified technician is crucial to pinpoint the exact cause and prevent further damage. I suspect they will confirm the temperature sensor issue.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. The temperature sensor on the heat exchanger was indeed defective, triggering all sorts of cascading errors. They also mentioned the AC control unit was throwing some weird readings, likely due to the sensor issue. 980€ later, all fixed. New sensor, system recalibrated and the AC is blowing cold again. Thanks for the help!

Interesting issue. I recall encountering a similar problem on my Kodiaq. The symptoms you describe – error memory, dash warning, and AC malfunction – are quite telling. Have you checked for any signs of a coolant leak around the heat exchanger itself? Also, what does the temperature gauge read? A faulty temperature sensor can certainly cause havoc with the engine management system, leading to these secondary issues. Temperature sensor calibration might be necessary as well.
