Skoda Kodiaq Anti Theft Alarm Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Skoda Kodiaq owner experienced a complete failure of the anti-theft alarm system, with no siren or flashing lights, and an error code present. The issue was resolved by recoding the alarm system, which was initially set to activate the indicators upon locking but was malfunctioning. A visit to the workshop for recoding fixed the problem, costing 45€.

Interesting! Randomly going off... Nope, didn't have that issue. It just flatlined one day. No false alarm, no nothing. Where exactly is the alarm sensor located? I've had a quick look, but couldn't pinpoint it. Any tips on what to look for when I check it?

The sensor locations can vary, but since yours just stopped working, and you have an error code, I would suggest a visit to a workshop might be more efficient. In my case, the eventual repair pointed to the alarm system being coded to activate the optical locking (indicators). Perhaps this is a common fault.

Just got it sorted. Turns out, the alarm system was throwing a hissy fit because it was coded to activate the indicators upon locking, which it wasn't doing properly. A quick recoding at the workshop, and boom, sorted! Cost me 45€. Thanks a million for the heads-up, you saved me a ton of stress!

I have a Kodiaq too, and I experienced something similar with my car alarm. It would randomly go off in the middle of the night, or sometimes just not arm at all. Did you notice any patterns before it completely stopped working? For instance, did it happen more often in humid weather, or after you'd been using a particular car park? Have you checked the alarm sensor? Might be worth a look.
