Was the Fiat also producing smoke when accelerating? And did you notice any excessive oil consumption?

Yes, definitely smoke on acceleration, especially uphill. And yeah, the oil level was dropping faster than usual. I tried cleaning the valve first, but it didn't solve the problem. Eventually, I just had it replaced. Considering the potential emissions issues and engine damage, I recommend getting it checked by a professional.

Took the Kodiaq to the shop. The crankcase ventilation valve was faulty. Replacement cost 360€. It runs smoothly now, no more smoke or check engine light. Thanks for the help.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Fiat Punto. The check engine light kept popping up and the car felt sluggish. Was the smoke bluish? Mine was. It turned out to be a faulty PCV valve too. I initially thought it was something major, like the turbo giving up.
