Did yours stall completely? And was it always at idle? Just trying to be sure before I start throwing money at it.

Yes, the engine stalling was predominantly at idle, especially when the engine was warm. Given your diagnostic code points directly to the sensor, and considering the symptoms align, replacing the sensor is a logical first step. However, I would strongly advise having a qualified technician perform a thorough diagnostic check to rule out any underlying issues with the fuel injection system before proceeding with the replacement. This will ensure that the problem is indeed the sensor and not something more complex. It could save you unnecessary expenses and future headaches if there is a deeper issue influencing engine performance.

Cheers for the info. Turned out to be the rail pressure sensor like you said. Got it swapped out at the shop, cost me 240€. Runs like a charm now.

That does sound remarkably similar to an issue I encountered with my Kodiaq. The rail pressure sensor is a common culprit for diesel engine woes. When the ECU detects implausible values from the sensor, it can indeed trigger limp mode and engine stalling to protect the fuel injection system. Have you checked the wiring to the sensor for any obvious damage or corrosion? A faulty connection can sometimes mimic a sensor failure.
