Skoda Kodiaq Electric Steering Column Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Skoda Kodiaq owner reported an issue with the electric steering column adjustment, suspecting a defective cable or plug connection. The problem was confirmed by another participant, who suggested that it might be a connection issue, especially since there were no prior warning signs or recent work done on the car. The owner later confirmed that the issue was indeed a defective plug connection, which was resolved at a workshop.

No recent work was done. There were no unusual noises prior to the steering issue. Is there anything I can check myself before taking it to the workshop?

Given the error and lack of prior warning signs, it's most likely a connection issue as you suspect. Without diagnostic tools, it's hard to pinpoint. I recommend taking it to a workshop to avoid further complications.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I followed your advice and visited the workshop. Turns out it was a defective plug connection as predicted. Repair cost 95€.

Electric steering failures can be tricky. Has the car had any recent work, particularly around the steering column? Any unusual noises before the error?
