Skoda Kodiaq Keyless Entry Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Skoda Kodiaq is experiencing keyless entry issues and requires the key in the ignition to start the engine. The problem is linked to an error related to the bumper antenna, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to check the connection to the FM antenna in the bumper for looseness or corrosion. The issue was resolved by repairing the faulty cable to the antenna mount, costing approximately 95€.

Where exactly is the fm antenna located, and how difficult is it to access the connection? I'm reasonably handy, but don't want to break anything.

Yep, same symptoms! The error memory, the keyless entry... It all points to that antenna. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop, unless you're really confident with car electrics. Could save you some hassle. For me it was definitely the vehicle antenna causing the signal interference.

The cable to the antenna mount was faulty. 95€ at the shop and everything is working again. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Kodiaq. Check the connection to the fm antenna in the bumper. It might be loose or corroded. Is the signal interference really bad?
