Skoda Kodiaq power loss when accelerating
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Skoda Kodiaq with a gasoline engine and 158,874 km is experiencing reduced power and jerking during acceleration. The suspected cause is combustion chamber deposits leading to knocking combustion. A suggested solution is to have the combustion chamber professionally cleaned, which resolved the issue and restored the vehicle's performance.

Smoke is present when accelerating, and an error code is stored. Could you elaborate on the engine tuning?

Given the smoke and error code, it seems highly probable. I recall experiencing comparable symptoms. I would suggest taking it to a workshop to have the combustion chamber professionally cleaned. Detonation might be occurring.

Appreciate the confirmation. Took it to the shop; combustion chamber cleaning sorted it. 425€. Runs like new.

I might have encountered something similar with my Kodiaq. Was there any noticeable smoke, particularly during acceleration? Have you checked for error codes? It could be related to ignition timing or even piston slap, though I am no expert. It might be worth investigating potential engine tuning issues as well.
