Skoda Octavia Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Octavia experienced a complete failure of the central locking system, with an error stored in the memory suggesting a defective cable or plug connection. The issue prevented the doors from being locked or unlocked, affecting both the key fob and keyless entry. After consulting others with similar experiences, the problem was resolved by addressing a defective plug connection, restoring the central locking functionality.

Interesting. When you say 'similar issue', was it also preventing you from locking or unlocking the doors completely? And did you also have an error stored? Was your keyless entry also affected?

Yep, exactly the same symptoms! Couldn't lock or unlock anything with the key fob, and the keyless entry was dead too. I tried messing with it myself, but honestly, I just ended up taking it to a workshop. Best decision I made. Saved me a lot of headaches!

Took your advice and got it checked out. Turns out it was indeed a defective plug connection, just like the error memory suggested. 95€ later, the central locking is working perfectly again. Thanks for the help!

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! Is your key fob still working? I had a similar issue with my Octavia's central locking a while back. Could it be something with the security system?
