Skoda Octavia Door Lock Problem

Having some trouble with my 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid. Got about 92090 km on it. The vehicle doors can no longer be locked or unlocked. I suspect it might be a defective contact signal. Anyone else experience this?

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid with 92,090 km had a problem where the doors could not be locked or unlocked. The issue was suspected to be a defective contact signal. It was suggested to check the wiring harness between the door and car body, as a faulty signal could cause the car alarm to behave erratically. The problem was confirmed to be a faulty connection in the door latch, which was repaired at a workshop.

Sounds like a faulty door contact signal. Have you checked the wiring harness where it enters the door? Those automatic locks can go haywire with a bad signal. Does the car alarm go off randomly?

Where exactly should I look for the wiring harness? And how do I know if the contact signal is actually defective?

AndiFriedrich

The harness is usually between the door and the car body, protected by a rubber boot. If the contact signal is bad, the car alarm might act strangely. Best bet is to get it diagnosed properly at a workshop.

Took it to the shop and you were right. They found a faulty connection in the door latch. Repair was 95€, thanks for the help.
