Skoda Octavia Fault Memory Lock Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Skoda Octavia Hybrid is experiencing a fault memory lock issue, with an error stored in the error memory. Initial checks suggest the likely cause is undervoltage in the vehicle. A similar issue was resolved by visiting a workshop for ECU diagnostics, which confirmed undervoltage as the cause. Clearing the fault codes restored proper function to the computer system.

Thank you for your reply. No, there was no specific event that I recall. The error just appeared on the dashboard one morning. How did you resolve your issue with the control unit? Did you also have fault memory lock active?

Yes, my issue also involved the fault memory lock. If it is indeed undervoltage, I recommend a visit to a workshop for further computer system diagnostics and car electronics inspection.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I visited my local workshop, and ECU diagnostics confirmed undervoltage as the cause. They cleared the fault codes, and the computer system seems to be working properly now. The car electronics repair cost was 240€.

I also drive an Octavia, although not a hybrid. I had a similar problem with the control unit a while back. Was there any specific event that triggered the error, or did it just appear spontaneously? It could be due to a faulty battery, which impacts car electronics.
