Skoda Octavia GPS Problem

I'm having a perplexing issue with my 2014 Skoda Octavia diesel. The navigation system has stopped receiving a GPS signal, and the error memory stores an error related to GPS reception. I suspect it's a defective GPS antenna. Has anyone experienced a similar car electronics issue? I anticipate a repair cost of approximately 200€.

I have a similar Skoda Octavia. I experienced something similar with my car GPS. Have you checked the connection to the GPS antenna? It might be loose or corroded.

Thank you for your response. Where exactly is the GPS antenna located on your Skoda Octavia, and was the replacement straightforward, or did it require specialized tools?

The GPS antenna is typically located under the shark fin on the roof. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace the antenna if needed.

I appreciate the insight. I took it to a mechanic, and the GPS antenna was indeed the culprit. Total repair cost came to around 200€, just as expected. Car navigation is working flawlessly again.
