Skoda Octavia Hybrid Engine Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid with 156,052 km is experiencing reduced engine power, poor response, a whistling noise, hissing during acceleration, stalling at idle, and increased fuel consumption. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the turbo system, specifically a boost pressure actuator fault. A diagnostic check confirmed the problem as a malfunctioning electrical bypass valve for the turbo actuator, which was resolved at a cost of 250€.

Interesting. How did you pinpoint the turbo actuator as the culprit? Did you also experience the whistling noise?

The whistling was a definite symptom for me, alongside the actuator fault. It's worth getting a diagnostic check to confirm, but it does sound like the turbo system might be the issue. A malfunctioning electrical bypass valve can definitely cause those symptoms.

Thanks for the insight. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the electrical bypass valve for the turbo actuator. Cost me around 250€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

Sounds similar to a problem I had with my Octavia. Check your pressure sensor readings, could be a faulty turbo actuator. I had a boost leak and similar symptoms.
