Skoda Octavia Hybrid Engine Troubles
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid experienced engine troubles, including a check engine light, reduced power, poor response, and increased fuel consumption. The suspected cause was an issue with boost pressure control, possibly related to a vacuum switching valve or the intake manifold. A suggestion to check for a vacuum leak, particularly around the boost solenoid and bypass valve, led to the discovery of a faulty vacuum switching valve. After professional diagnosis and repair, the vehicle's performance improved significantly.

Vacuum leak, huh? Where exactly should I be looking? Is it something I can check myself without special tools?

Yeah, I had almost the exact same symptoms. Reduced engine performance, poor response... It turned out to be a faulty vacuum switching valve. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally; they can properly diagnose the vacuum system.

Thanks a million for sharing your experience! It really helped. I took it to a local garage, and they confirmed it was the vacuum switching valve. Cost me 140€ all in. It runs like a dream now!

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Octavia. Check for a vacuum leak, especially around the boost solenoid and bypass valve. It could be that simple.
