Skoda Octavia Hybrid Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Problems
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Octavia hybrid was experiencing a persistent low tire pressure warning, along with ABS and steering issues. The suspected cause was a defective tire valve leading to a slow air leak, affecting the tire pressure monitoring system and potentially triggering the ABS and power steering problems. After replacing all four tire valves, the issues were resolved, confirming the initial suspicion of a faulty valve as the root cause.

When you say inspect the valve, what exactly should I be looking for? I'm familiar with basic car maintenance, but tire sensor issues are relatively new to me.

Yes, it's possible. A slow leak from a defective valve could cause gradual pressure loss, triggering the warning light. The reduced tire pressure can affect ABS and power steering performance. In my case, the workshop confirmed a faulty valve stem. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to confirm.

Confirmed the tire valve was defective, causing a slow air leak. I replaced all four valves. The tire monitoring system is now functioning correctly, the ABS lamp is off, and the steering issues are resolved. Total cost was 280€. Thanks for the insight.

I experienced something similar with my previous car. The tire pressure low warning kept appearing, even after inflating the tires. It could be a faulty tire sensor. Have you checked the tire itself for any punctures or damage? It might also be worth inspecting the valve.
