Skoda Octavia Power Window Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid experienced a complete failure of its power windows, suspected to be due to a defective power window switch. Another individual suggested the issue might be a faulty window regulator motor, a problem they had encountered before. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the window regulator was indeed faulty, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Interesting, so it was the window motor itself? Was it making any weird noises before it went completely kaput? And how much did the whole regulator motor replacement set you back?

Yeah, pretty much the same thing. No noises, just sudden death of the power windows, like a light switch failing. I'd say just get it checked out at a workshop. They'll be able to confirm if it's the window regulator motor. Cost me a similar amount to what you paid. Better than messing about yourself unless you know what you're doing!

Thanks a ton for the heads-up! Took it to the shop, and you nailed it – faulty window regulator. They swapped it out, cost me around 200€. Now my power windows are working like a charm again. You saved me a load of stress!

Good afternoon. I have a 1999 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI and suddenly all the power windows have stopped working. What could it be? Thanks.

Start by checking the fuse related to the power windows in the fuse box, as a blown fuse could cause all windows to stop working. If the fuse is intact, inspect the power window relay, as it might be faulty. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Sounds like a faulty regulator motor to me. I had a similar problem with my Skoda a while back. The power windows just stopped working out of nowhere. Have you checked the fuses?
