Skoda Octavia System Readiness Issue

I'm officially pulling my hair out! My 2022 Skoda Octavia with a gasoline engine is throwing a fit. The speedometer keeps flashing an error message about the system readiness being incomplete, and I've got an error stored in the error memory. I'm pretty sure it all started after I used an OBD2 scanner to check for some other potential problems. Now I can't get rid of this! Any ideas what's going on? I need to get my vehicle inspection done!

I had a similar issue with my Octavia after doing some car diagnostics myself. The onboard diagnostics can be a bit sensitive. Did you try driving it for a while? Sometimes the system readiness resets itself after a few drive cycles.

Drive cycles? What exactly does that mean? And how long is 'a while'? I'm supposed to get my emissions test done soon, and I'm worried this will cause a problem. Is there anything specific I should do, or is it just random?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. By 'drive cycles,' I mean driving the car through a normal range of conditions – some city driving, some highway. But honestly, I wouldn't risk it before your emissions test. Just take it to the workshop. They can force the system readiness to complete or at least tell you what's missing. It's a common issue after using car diagnostics tools.

Just wanted to say thanks so much! You were totally right. The vehicle inspection confirmed the system readiness wasn't complete because of the OBD2 read. They cleared the error, and now it's fine. It was free! Really appreciate the help.
