Skoda Praktik audio system problem
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Praktik with a diesel engine experienced a complete audio system failure, with no sound output. The issue was initially suspected to be related to the bass speaker, especially since USB audio also failed. After consulting a mechanic, it was confirmed that the bass speaker was indeed the problem, and it was replaced to resolve the issue.

Sound distortion? No, I did not notice anything like that. The sound was fine, then suddenly nothing. USB audio does not work either. Does this confirm the bass speaker issue?

Given the absence of prior distortion and the failure of USB audio, there remains a degree of uncertainty. However, the confluence of symptoms does indeed suggest a potential defect within the bass speaker. I would recommend seeking counsel from a qualified automotive technician. They possess the requisite expertise to conduct a thorough diagnostic assessment and proffer a definitive solution. It is advisable to confirm such a defect before committing to what could be an unnecessary repair.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a mechanic, and you were right. The bass speaker was the problem. Cost me 280€ to replace.

I must admit, I have encountered a similar predicament with my Skoda Praktik. Though I cannot ascertain if my experience precisely mirrors yours, the symptoms bear a striking resemblance. My sound system exhibited comparable behaviour – a complete absence of audio output. Have you observed any sound distortion prior to the complete failure? Did you try USB audio?
