Skoda Praktik Climate Control Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Praktik with a diesel engine is experiencing unresponsive climate control, minimal heating output, and non-functional air conditioning. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking the wiring harness near the climate control unit, specifically the main connector block. The problem was identified as a corroded electrical connector on the temperature sensor harness, which was fixed by cleaning and applying dielectric grease.

Interesting. When you say wiring harness, are you referring to the main connector block behind the climate control panel, or somewhere else entirely? Any specific wires I should be looking at?

Yes, the main connector block. It's like a central nervous system for the climate control. I'd advise having a workshop check it out. In my case it was definitely the electrical connectors there. They diagnosed it quickly.

Appreciate the insight. Turns out it was a corroded electrical connector on the temperature sensor harness, just as you suspected. A bit of cleaning and dielectric grease later, and everything is working perfectly again. Total cost was 95€ at the workshop.

I had a similar issue with my Praktik. The climate control was acting up in much the same way. Have you checked the wiring harness near the climate control unit itself? Those electronic faults can be tricky.
