Skoda Praktik Diesel Engine Misfire

I'm having some serious issues with my 2008 Skoda Praktik Diesel. It's got 187713 km on it. Lately, it's been a nightmare to start, and my fuel consumption has gone through the roof The engine feels like it's lost a ton of power. At idle, it's all uneven and shaky, and sometimes it even stalls I'm thinking maybe a dirty injection valve Any ideas what could be causing these Diesel engine problems and the misfire I'm at my wit's end here

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Praktik. The symptoms sound very familiar rough idling, loss of power, and the engine occasionally stalling. Have you checked your fuel injectors A dirty or failing injector could definitely cause these Diesel engine performance problems and the misfire.

How did you figure out it was the fuel injectors Did you try cleaning them first, or did you just replace them

In my case, the mechanic ran some diagnostics and pinpointed one of the injectors as defective. They suspected it was just really gunked up. They tried cleaning it first, but it didn't solve the problem. Ultimately, they recommended replacing the injector. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional to be sure. It could save you money in the long run, and they can properly diagnose the Diesel engine misfire.
