Summary of the thread
A 2010 Skoda Praktik is experiencing an electronic parking brake malfunction, with the brake being non-functional and a warning light displayed. The issue is suspected to be a faulty electric motor in the brake caliper, as indicated by error codes. Yeah, the diagnostics showed an error related to the motor. But is there any way to be absolutely sure it's the motor before I shell out for a new caliper? Is there something else that could cause the same symptoms?

I'm pretty confident it's the motor. Given the symptoms and the error code, it's the most likely culprit. You could try checking the wiring harness and connections to the caliper, but honestly, those rarely fail. Save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop. They'll confirm and get it sorted.

Took the Praktik to the shop. You were right, it was a faulty motor in the caliper. 505€ later, the electronic parking brake is working again. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a classic case of a dead electric motor in the brake caliper. I've seen it a bunch of times on similar Skodas. First, did you run any brake diagnostics to confirm the error code? What code did it throw? It's usually something related to the motor circuit being open or shorted. Vehicle safety is paramount; don't ignore brake faults!
