Skoda Praktik Engine Overheating and Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Skoda Praktik with a gasoline engine was experiencing overheating and stalling issues, with an error memory indicating a bypass valve malfunction. The owner suspected a problem with the air intake but was unsure if it could be related to the exhaust system. After investigation, it was discovered that the real issue was with the exhaust system, not the bypass valve, and it was resolved under warranty.

Did you also have the engine overheating issue? And was the air intake affected at all? Trying to figure out if it's the same thing before I start tearing things apart.

Overheating and stalling are definitely symptoms I experienced. I'm no mechanic, so I'd get it checked out by a professional. Could be a simple fix, could be something more sinister. Better safe than sorry.

Just got the Praktik back. The bypass valve error was misleading, it was a consequential error. The real issue was the exhaust system. Warranty covered it, so no cost. Thanks for the heads up, I was starting to sweat!

I had something similar with my Praktik. Error codes popping up, engine acting weird. Is it only when the engine is hot?
