Yes, I saw the low battery warning. I was hoping it was just a temporary glitch. I wanted to confirm if a dead key battery would completely disable keyless entry and cause error messages. Is that what you experienced as well?

Yes, exactly. Low battery caused complete failure of keyless functions and triggered error messages. I recommend replacing the battery or visiting a workshop. It could also be a deeper issue with the auto key itself, though a new key battery is the most likely solution.

Thank you for the confirmation. I replaced the key battery myself. The auto key is now working as expected. The entire process including the new key battery cost 37€.

I had a similar issue with my electronic key on a BMW a while ago. Keyless access stopped working, and the car displayed a low battery warning. Have you tried replacing the battery in the key?
