Skoda Praktik oil level sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Skoda Praktik diesel owner experienced a persistent oil level sensor error, with the speedometer displaying an error message and the oil pressure warning lamp illuminating. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. Another individual confirmed a similar issue, suggesting checking the sensor connector for looseness or corrosion. The problem was resolved by addressing the faulty sensor connection, costing approximately 95€.

Did you also get a specific error message related to the oil level sensor? And did the oil pressure warning lamp light up as well?

Yes, the oil level sensor error was the main message. And yes, the oil pressure light flickered sometimes too, which was worrying. I'd get it checked professionally if I were you.

Thanks for the confirmation. You were spot on. It was indeed a faulty sensor connection. 95€ later and the error is gone. Appreciate the help!

Sounds similar to a problem I had with my Praktik. The oil light kept coming on. Have you checked the simple things like the sensor connector? Could be loose or corroded.
