Skoda Praktik outside temperature sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Praktik was experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to air conditioning failure, frozen spray nozzles, and non-functional mirror heating. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. After confirming the faulty cable, repairs were made, restoring the air conditioning and mirror heating functions, and resolving the freezing issue with the spray nozzles.

Thank you for the quick response. Could you elaborate on which sensor you are referring to? Did you also have an error code stored, and were the spray nozzles affected?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. Air conditioning and mirror heating both failed. As for the error code, I don't remember the exact one, but it pointed towards a sensor malfunction. Regarding the spray nozzles, yes, they were freezing too. If the car temperature sensor is defective, I would visit a professional workshop.

I appreciate the input. It turns out the cable to the car temperature sensor was indeed faulty, as suspected. I got it sorted for 95€. Air conditioning is now functional, and the mirror heating works. No more frozen spray nozzles. Thanks again for the help.

I am writing because I may have encountered a similar problem with my Skoda Praktik. If I understand correctly, the air conditioning is not working, and the mirror heating is also defective? It may be a defective sensor, which is why I had to go to the repair shop.
