Skoda Praktik Power Window Problem

My 2007 Skoda Praktik with a gasoline engine has an issue with the power windows. Mileage is 131541 km. After replacing the vehicle battery, the window controls no longer function. There is an error stored regarding window regulator initialization. Any ideas?

Sounds like a window regulator issue possibly linked to the battery replacement. I had a similar problem on my Praktik after I disconnected the battery for some unrelated electrical work. The power window controls stopped working. Have you checked the window switch itself? Perhaps it's not sending the signal.

How did you resolve your window regulator issue? Did you have to replace the entire regulator or was it just a reset procedure?

I wasn't able to resolve the issue myself, even after checking the fuses and the door panel wiring. My guess is that the regulator lost its calibration or something. Maybe it is a coincidence with the battery replacement. I ended up taking it to a workshop; they had to replace the entire window regulator. It might be worth checking the wiring harness within the door, but beyond that, I am not sure.

Took it to a shop and they sorted it. New regulator was 290€ including labor. Thanks for the input.
