Skoda Rapid Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Skoda Rapid is experiencing a complete audio system failure, with the head unit unresponsive and an error stored in the system's memory. The workshop suspects a defective display, but the owner questions if faulty wiring could be the cause. After considering the diagnosis and input from others with similar issues, the owner decides to replace the entire audio system, resolving the problem.

Car speakers are fine, I tested them with an external source. The error code, as far as I understood it, points towards the display itself. Did your error also mention the display specifically, or was it a more generic audio error? Also, did you experience any Bluetooth problem before the complete failure?

My error was a generic audio module fault, it did not specify the display. However, the technician said the display unit and the head unit are often integrated in these models, which causes them to replace the entire unit. I would take it to a workshop to confirm, it's likely the same issue.

Resolution confirmed. Following the diagnostic pointing to a faulty head unit, I replaced the entire audio system. The cost was exactly as the workshop quoted, 725€. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks for the input.

I had a similar issue with my Rapid. Audio suddenly died, and the dashboard controls became unresponsive. Have you checked the car speakers themselves? It could be a simple blown fuse, but that's unlikely if you're getting an error.
