Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'scanned the ABS module', do you mean using a specific diagnostic tool beyond a generic OBD2 scanner? And were your symptoms identical, particularly the error message on the speedometer?

Yes, a generic OBD2 scanner might not read the specific ABS codes. You need one that can access the ABS module. And yes, I had the same symptoms: error message plus significantly reduced braking power. Definitely get it checked out by a professional. It's a vehicle safety issue. Is it worth risking it? It could be the pressure sensor, but it's best to confirm with proper diagnostic tools. In my case, it was indeed the pressure sensor. I recommend you go to the workshop.

I had the pressure sensor replaced at a local workshop for 90€. Apparently, the brake system wasn't bled correctly after some work, which seems to have caused the sensor to fail. Everything is working as it should now.

Sounds like a faulty brake booster pressure sensor. I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot. The error message and poor braking are definitely concerning. Did you check the sensor itself for any obvious damage or loose connections? Could be as simple as a bad wire. Have you scanned the ABS module with diagnostic tools? What codes are you getting?
