Summary of the thread
A 2015 Skoda Rapid diesel is experiencing an overheating issue, with the engine's check light on and the radiator fan running excessively. Excessive fan noise, yes! The car radiator fan was running like crazy even when the engine was cold. Where is the speed sensor located? And what did you do to fix it, did you replace the sensor yourself?

Yup, sounds like the same problem. I'm no expert, so I just took it to a workshop. They replaced the speed sensor, and the car overheating problem was solved. The fan noise disappeared. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, I would recommend taking it to a professional, so they can diagnose the cooling system properly.

Alright, thanks a lot for the input. I took it to a local garage, and it turned out the speed sensor was indeed faulty. New one installed and the cooling system is behaving normally again. Total cost came to around 250€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar car overheating issue with my Rapid. Check engine light and all. Was there excessive fan noise? The cooling system went bonkers. For me it was the speed sensor. Good luck!
