Skoda Rapid Diesel Running Rough

I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2003 Skoda Rapid diesel is running like garbage. I'm pretty sure the injection nozzle is shot. Starts poorly, drinks gasoline like crazy, no power, idles rough, and sometimes stalls. Think it's just dirty? Any ideas?

Sounds like a dodgy injector to me. I had a similar issue with my Rapid. Rough idling, felt like it was choking sometimes, and my fuel consumption went through the roof. Is it throwing any error codes?

Error codes? Not that I've noticed. What exactly did you do to fix yours? Was it just one injector, or did you replace them all?

Yep, sounds very familiar. I only replaced the one that was causing the problem, but honestly, in hindsight, I probably should have done them all. Eventually, I had it done at a workshop. They confirmed it was a faulty injector. I wouldn't mess with it yourself; modern gasoline injection is quite sensitive.

Thanks! I dropped it off at the shop, and you were spot on. New nozzle, all good. Cost me 515€ but worth it to get my Skoda running right again.
