Skoda Rapid Engine Troubles

I'm tearing my hair out here. My 2010 Skoda Rapid, gasoline engine, with just 66637 km on the clock, is giving me major grief. The engine sometimes refuses to start, other times it just shuts off while I'm driving. And when it does run, it's rough as anything. I'm suspecting something related to the car ignition, maybe the ignition switch or even the ignition coil. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas before I end up at the mechanic?

Sounds like the ignition switch to me. I had a similar problem with my Rapid. Have you checked the car ignition fuse?

Where is the car ignition fuse located? And is it difficult to replace?

It's usually in the fuse box under the dashboard. Check your owner's manual for the exact location. While you can replace it yourself, if it blows again, there's likely a bigger problem. Might be best to take it to a workshop.

You were spot on! It was a defective fuse related to the ignition. Cost me 52€ to get it sorted at the workshop. Thanks for the help!
