Skoda Rapid Fuel Flap Problem

My 2016 Skoda Rapid with a gasoline engine is giving me some grief. The fuel flap release isn't working. I get an error message, and I can't open the fuel flap anymore. Also, some other functions seem to be unavailable now. The car has done 231938 km. Could this be a defective linkage in the release mechanism?

I had a similar problem with my Rapid. Check the cable release. Sometimes it gets stuck or disconnected. Does the key fob still work for the other doors?

Where exactly is the cable release located? And yes, the key fob is working fine for all the other doors. Is there any connection between the central locking system and the fuel flap?

The cable release runs from the release mechanism to the fuel flap. It's likely the lock actuator itself. Since your key fob works for the doors, the central locking is probably okay, but the fuel flap has its own separate actuator. I would suggest going to a workshop.

Thanks for the input. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the lock actuator. They replaced it, and the fuel flap now opens without issue. Total cost was 210€.
