Skoda Rapid Headlight Range Control Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Skoda Rapid with a diesel engine is experiencing a headlight range control fault, resulting in a warning light and improper low beam alignment. The issue is likely due to a defective servomotor in the headlight, particularly affecting vehicles with adaptive headlights. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a professional, as the problem can be complex and requires specialized attention.

Yeah, it does have adaptive headlights. So, what exactly did you do to fix the low beam issue and the light intensity? Was it a simple fix, or something more involved?

Sounds very similar to what I went through. Unfortunately, it wasn't a simple fix. The workshop diagnosed it as a defective servomotor in the headlight itself. The light intensity was all over the place. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional. Messing with the lighting system can be tricky.

Cheers for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Defective servomotor in the headlight, exactly as you described. Cost me a hefty 1040€ to get it sorted, but at least the headlight malfunction is gone and my lighting system is back to normal.

I had almost the exact same headlight range control fault on my Rapid. Warning light in the speedometer driving me nuts! The low beam was completely out of whack, shining way too low. Does your car have adaptive headlights? I'm wondering if it's related to the control module.
