Skoda Rapid incomplete system readiness
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Rapid owner experienced an incomplete system readiness check, with errors displayed on the speedometer after an OBD2 diagnostic. The issue was suspected to be related to the OBD readiness not being set. It was suggested that specific drive cycles might be needed to complete the readiness tests. After performing the necessary drive cycle, the system readiness check was successfully completed without any cost.

The error memory can be cleared, but the error message in the speedometer persists. I suspect the OBD readiness status. The vehicle is a 2002 Skoda Rapid Diesel with 238391 km. Are you able to share the error code you experienced? And how did you resolve this issue?

Yep, same error. My OBD readiness monitors wouldn't set properly. Turns out some modules need specific drive cycles to complete their tests. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with proper diagnostic tools; they can force the readiness tests to run or guide you through the specific drive cycle needed for your car.

Acknowledged and appreciated. As suspected, the OBD readiness monitors were indeed the culprit. After performing a specific drive cycle, the system readiness check completed without issues. No cost incurred.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Rapid after plugging in a cheap OBD2 reader. Does the error clear, then reappear after a short drive? Have you checked all the basic things like battery voltage?
