Skoda Rapid incomplete system readiness

I am experiencing an incomplete system readiness check on my Skoda Rapid. The error is stored in the error memory and also displayed in the speedometer. This occurred after the vehicle was read out via OBD2 diagnostics. I assume the OBD readiness is not set. Is there a procedure to force the onboard diagnostics to run? The vehicle is a 2002 Skoda Rapid with a diesel engine and a mileage of 238391 km.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Rapid after plugging in a cheap OBD2 reader. Does the error clear, then reappear after a short drive? Have you checked all the basic things like battery voltage?

The error memory can be cleared, but the error message in the speedometer persists. I suspect the OBD readiness status. The vehicle is a 2002 Skoda Rapid Diesel with 238391 km. Are you able to share the error code you experienced? And how did you resolve this issue?

Yep, same error. My OBD readiness monitors wouldn't set properly. Turns out some modules need specific drive cycles to complete their tests. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with proper diagnostic tools; they can force the readiness tests to run or guide you through the specific drive cycle needed for your car.

Acknowledged and appreciated. As suspected, the OBD readiness monitors were indeed the culprit. After performing a specific drive cycle, the system readiness check completed without issues. No cost incurred.
