Skoda Rapid Oil Level Sensor Issue

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out! My 2020 Skoda Rapid with a gasoline engine is throwing an oil level sensor error. The speedometer is displaying the warning, and the error is stored in the memory. The oil pressure warning lamp lights up too. I suspect a faulty cable or plug connection. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia. The oil monitoring system gave me fits. First, are you sure the automotive oil level is actually correct when the light comes on? Mine was fine, which pointed away from a real oil pressure problem and more toward the sensor issue.

Good point about checking the actual oil level. Yes, it's spot on. When you had this happen, did the warning light come on intermittently, or was it constant? Also, did you also get the same error code stored?

Yes, the warning light was intermittent at first, then became more frequent. And yes, the error code pointed directly to the oil level sensor. Given your oil level is correct, and you suspect a connection issue, it's highly probable that's the culprit. In my case, I ended up taking it to a workshop because I didn't have the right tools to properly diagnose the wiring. They replaced a corroded connector. I would suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the help! Turns out it was exactly as you suspected, a faulty connection. Got the cable and plug checked, cleaned up, and reconnected. Error's gone and the oil pressure warning lamp is off. 95€ well spent!
