Yes, I checked the oil level, it's fine. By error memory, I mean the diagnostic trouble code stored by the ECU - Engine Control Unit. Did you also get a specific error code related to the oil temp sensor when you did your car diagnostics?

Yes, the car diagnostics showed a similar error code, pointing to a faulty oil sensor. I would suggest checking the wiring and connections to the sensor first. If that doesn't solve it, you may need to replace the oil sensor. Probably best to visit a workshop for that.

Car diagnostics pointed towards a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. Turns out, the cable and plug connection of the component were defective, just like you suggested. The oil sensor was replaced, and the warning light is gone. Total damage: 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia, although I have a different engine. The oil pressure warning lamp would light up intermittently. Have you checked the oil level? Just to rule out the obvious. Also, when you say 'error memory', are you referring to the car's computer storing a diagnostic trouble code?
