Skoda Rapid Parking Aid Fault

My 2020 Skoda Rapid with a gasoline engine is throwing a parking aid fault. The parking assistant is completely non-functional, and the error memory is storing the fault. From what I've gathered, the likely culprit is a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Anyone else run into this? I'm estimating around 95€ for the repair. Thinking it might be faulty wiring to the ultrasonic sensors, but where to even begin looking?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Rapid. Are your blind spot sensors also acting up, or is it just the parking assist? I remember it being a pain to maneuver without the beeps.

Interesting. No, the blind spot sensors seem to be working fine. Just the parking assist throwing a fit. Did yours completely die, or was it intermittent? And do you remember which sensors were affected? Trying to avoid a wild goose chase here.

Mine was completely dead, like yours. To be honest, I didn't bother trying to diagnose it myself. Electrics aren't my strong suit. I just took it straight to a workshop. Saved myself a headache, you know? Probably best to do the same.

Took it to the shop as suggested. It was indeed faulty wiring to one of the parking sensors. They replaced the dodgy bit, and the parking assist is back in action. Bill came to 95€, as predicted. Thanks for the help!
