Hello, thanks for your help! My Skoda Rapid now has 51200 km on the clock and was last serviced about 6 months ago. It is a manual transmission, so not an automatic. I hope this information helps you. Your experience has helped me a lot, thank you again!

Hi, thanks for the additional information. I had a similar problem with actually similar mileage. In my Octavia it was like this, DMTL valve and the lines were OK, but the tank ventilation system had a crack, so it couldn't maintain the pressure. Replacing it helped and since then the symptoms have disappeared. From my experience, I can only advise you to have it checked at the garage. Perhaps you have a very similar cause. Of course, this is not a remote diagnosis, but perhaps the reference to the tank ventilation will help. Good luck!

I actually had exactly the same problem on my car. I then replaced the valve myself as it was easily accessible and quick to replace. I think the part cost around 50 euros. Since then I have had no more problems. mfg

Hi, I have had such a similar experience with my Skoda Octavia, 2015 model. I have little experience with cars, but remember the chaos this caused. In the end, I took my car to the garage and it was discovered that the vent lines from the tank to the valve were faulty. The repair cost me 205 euros and the car has been running smoothly ever since. Can you please provide more details about your car? That way I might be able to help you even better. Things like mileage, whether automatic or manual transmission, would be very useful!
